This integrated course is a combination of the Construction-Project Management course and other courses on Quality Assurance / Quality Control and HSE Management.

The course content is divided under three sections that delve into fundamental concepts and intricacies of Project Management including plans, procedures, approvals, materials, machines, and manpower. Section 2 covers Quality Management Systems including Inspections and Audits, and Section 3 deals with best practices in Health, Safety, and Environment management for construction projects, covering hazards, risks, environmental aspects, and safety protocols. This course offers holistic education in aforesaid subjects and an opportunity for anyone wishing to advance their career in construction projects.  

This course has been designed and delivered by a team of project managers who have hands-on field experience in all aspects of managing giant petrochemical, fertilizer, and power station projects in different parts of the world. Herein they have shared their experience for the benefit of aspiring engineers and would be project managers.  

This integrated course delves into Construction Project Management, QAQC Management, and HSE Management, covering all essential topics divided under three sections and successive lessons.

Section-1 of this course on Construction Project Management comprises five comprehensive lessons covering fundamental concepts such as project definition, distinguishing characteristics, and Project Management basics. It explores Project Management Knowledge Areas, Triple Constraints, the 4 Basic Elements, and the 5 Basic Processes. The course delves into project organization structures, types of construction projects, drawings, and the five crucial stages of a construction project. 

Essential topics include the sequence of project activities, method statements, and a typical flow chart for construction projects. The preparatory stage is explored, encompassing budget establishment, cash flow plans, vendor selection criteria, and client approvals. Critical activities like Bill of Quantities compilation, long lead items identification, and workforce categorization are also discussed, providing a holistic understanding of construction project management. 

Section-2 of this course on Quality Management Systems offers, through Lesson-I, an in-depth exploration of the objectives and processes of quality works in projects. It distinguishes between Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) systems, outlining their differences. The lesson further delves into QA and QC verification stages and points within project works, emphasizing project quality roles, responsibilities, and control plans. 

Lesson-II of section-2, on "Inspections, Audits, Approvals in Construction & Maintenance," the course covers Inspection Test Plan features and formats, detailing inspection hold, witness, and review points. It outlines various inspection authorities and levels, differentiating between destructive and non-destructive testing methods. Additionally, the lesson provides insights into vendor package inspection, effective test pack management, and the intricacies of hydro test packs. 

Section-3 of this course on Health, Safety, & Environment System, through Lesson-I, provides a foundational understanding of hazards in construction and maintenance. It covers the definitions and identification of hazards and risks, as well as environmental aspects, impacts, and waste management. 

In Lesson-II of Section-3, the focus shifts to site battery limits and personal protective equipment (PPE). The course details the implementation of permits to work, providing samples for practical understanding. It also addresses safety considerations related to gas cylinders, radiation, fire, and spill response. The lesson concludes with insights into environmental considerations, incident investigation procedures, and the use of checklists.
